Max Chang

Award-winning DJ, composer, and producer Max Chang made his DJ debut in 2018 at ISY Music Festival, one of China’s largest EDM festivals. Since then, he has toured over 30 cities, performing at various nightclubs and music festivals throughout Asia. During his early career, Max represented Billboard China, showcasing his electronic dance music talents across the APAC region. He also made a notable appearance at Amsterdam Dance Event in the same year.

Max has received numerous industry accolades, including placing in the top 10 of the USA Songwriting Competition and winning the Canadian Fairchild Songwriting Competition. His love for music began with classical piano training at the age of five, which led him to start producing music at fifteen. Max later earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz from Capilano University, further honing his versatile skills.

In 2023, Max returned to Canada and created the EDM X Orchestra Rave, a fusion of high-energy electronic beats and the mesmerizing melodies of a live orchestra. The creation of the EDM X Orchestra Rave took half a year of music arranging and rehearsing before its launch. That summer, he debuted the orchestra show, which immediately garnered significant attention and positive feedback. Since then, he has hosted multiple shows at various nightclubs in Vancouver, all of which were completely sold out.

Max has extensive experience in composition, giving him a distinctive perspective on blending diverse musical worlds. His orchestral sets primarily feature progressive house influences. He released the melodic dubstep tracks “Here with Me” and “Interstellar (Remix),” as well as classical EDM reinterpretations such as “Moonlight Sonata” and “Magic Flute” in a melodic techno style on SoundCloud. He has developed many new original works that will be released soon.
